Zen, (and the art of 'kicking the shit' out of people).

I felt I had to get these pic's taken and put them here.

I guess this site has evolved, from its original idea of simply being somewhere to post the wedding pic's so that everyone could see them, into a more personal project. There are now many pic's here of my friends and of things/memories that mean a lot to me. It therefore wouldn't feel right to exclude probably the biggest area of recreational interest in my life. (In fact it's wrong to use the word recreational really as I'm sure those of you that know me well, will agree. It's much more than that, much deeper. Once again though, that's a different story).

It was often unclear to me why I always used to work out so relentlessly, so certainly my friends can be forgiven their wonderings. I've long since established what it is that drives me to such madness. Suffice to say I really enjoyed it then, and I still enjoy it now. Also it helps me remain sane (ok ok saner than I would be then!) I suppose that's what ALL of this is about really, the bikes, the martial arts, working out, the waterski-ing. It's all a release, a way of expressing and releasing yourself - (spoken like a true adrenalin junkie). However whilst it seems that most people are happy with one pursuit to vent their daily/weekly load, I prefer a bit of variety. After all, where would we be without our regular opportunity to get all hot and bothered, be it wrestling a high performance sports bike around your favourite set of twistys, or trying to navigate around a set of buoys at ridiculous speeds and angles on a waterski, it's all the same result, pretty much. Mind you I do have my preferences.

I must admit, these pics are a bit crap, but then what do you expect? I just don't have any other pic's from training at all, so I got someone to take these for me on Sunday morning. I do recall having a few from the Tae Kwon Do many years ago, but I haven't been able to put my hand on them since we've moved. None from the Kick-Boxing years though, or the bodybuilding, strange really, but then again I suppose not. I mean who the hell takes a camera down the gym anyway? You go there to train, nothing else.
